VICTIMS OF LOVE?
Many hearts have crashed severally, while
millions are currently crashing because of this four-letter word: LOVE.
Heartbreak have become a norm in our society as it appears to have come to
stay. Many are drowning in the pit of agony, deception, and betrayal, because
of this same word: LOVE. They have been submerged in pain, stabbed with a
dagger in their hearts and left to bleed. Many hearts have crashed so hard
against their ribs that it echoed in their brains, all
because of LOVE. Some people call them "Victims of Love." Is that the
truth?
Love is good, love is fun, and love is pleasurable. Love births
great things, but when not properly handled, a lover can become a victim.
As pleasurable as love is, it has been misused and abused by
many. Many victims have crawled to recovery while the scar remained permanent,
but many never recovered. Was love meant to be a source of pain and distress?
Is it right to call them victims of love?
The fact that many have abused love does not rule out this fact;
love is good and serves as a stream of joy. The fact that someone had it rough
does not mean every other person should follow suit. The fact that Mr. A abused
and misused your love does not mean Mr. B will do same. These
victims are not victims because they gave love a chance, they are victims
because their love was abused or misused.
Whoever finds himself/herself in this situation, please plod out
of the heartbreak and give love another chance. Just as our faces differ, the
same way our journey to recovery may differ. However, some recoveries are not
recoveries, they are just heartbreaks covered with makeup, and no matter the
layers of makeup, the cracks are not mended, neither does the pain completely
vanish. Complete healing is possible, please, don't settle for
less.
In my own opinion, if you find yourself in this situation, you
are not a victim of love. Truth be told, your love got abused, but love is not
the problem, rather, the problem can be the one you sold your love to, it could
also be a negative response to trials and challenges of life. Perhaps you
confused lust for love.
Concluding love is not worth it is concluding never to
experience true love. Give love another chance but ensure you don't confuse
lust for love. Life is too short not to experience true love.

"love is not the problem, rather, the problem can be the one you sold your love to". If you find yourself in this situation, stand up pick up your broken pieces and move on there's light after the tunnel. "Give love another chance but ensure you don't confuse lust for love. Life is too short not to experience true love". The message is poignantly delivered JS_havila kudos

ReplyDeleteLove is a simple feeling or more than a feeling yet so complex! Yeah never settle for less unless less is the best option
ReplyDeleteNice one π✌π―
Love is an attribute of a divine personality, but yet misunderstood by many who claim love, until one understand the intense meaning of love, such will either be abuse of love or deprived others of real love. This epistle on love is short and powerful. Please understand what love is all about.

Absolutely spot on, JS_Havilah! "The fact that many have abused love does not rule out this fact; love is good and serves as a stream of joy". We're not victims of love, we're victims of misused love.
ReplyDeleteLove is the key to healthier relationships, happy homes, and a flourishing society. I believe 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 is a beautiful passage that captures the true essence of love. It says "Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes". If we all strive to live by these principles, the world would be a much better place.
Thanks for sharing this, JS_Havilah. It's a powerful message. Keep up the good work bro!
This is spot on. Indeed, giving love another chance is a good heart posture towards liberating oneself from the memories of hurt and disappointment. Sometimes, all we need is a step of faith to heal. Amazingly, you realize God has kept the best for you.
